The Roccat Magma is the company’s first keyboard to use Cherry MX switches, and it is also the first to pair Cherry MX RGB keys with a full-color RGB backlit LED, complete with an on-the-fly programmable lighting mode. Along with the usual white, black, and red LEDs for legends, the Magma also comes with blue, green, red, and purple LEDs that can be programmed to match the keyboard’s layout.
These keyboards are a part of Roccat’s ‘Revolution’ keyboards series , which Roccat describes as: “Roccat has partnered with some of the most talented manufacturers in the industry to create a wide array of keyboard models. These premium keyboards are designed by a combination of input from users and input from Roccat’s expert input.”
Roccat has expanded its keyboard range with two new, more affordable models that not only bear the fiery names Magma and Pyro, but also offer an amazing array of features for the price. The Roccat Magma Membrane RGB Gaming Keyboard has a translucent top and a 5-zone, 16.8 million color RGBA 10-LED backlight, which calls the best AIMO backlight yet. If you also want to control the lighting of the whole system, the control panel can be connected to other devices of the AIMO series. Magma’s high-quality domed rubber keys provide quiet typing without sacrificing responsiveness or reliability, according to the manufacturer. It also features advanced anti-hosting technology that allows you to press multiple keys without fear of them not registering. Priced at $59.99 or equivalent in your region, Magma also includes convenient multimedia controls , ROCCAT’s famous Easy-Shift[+] technology that allows players to assign secondary functions to the most frequently used buttons, , and a detachable palm rest. The Roccat Pyro Mechanical RGB gaming keyboard is more expensive, costing $99.99 or the equivalent in your area. It features a high-quality brushed metal housing and uses linear (or red) TTC switches that have been tested to 50 million keystrokes for better responsiveness and longer game life. Like its cheaper counterpart, the Pyro features advanced anti-ghosting and Easy-Shift technology [+], and a removable wrist rest, but it uses the AIMO light engine and borrows the Vulcan volume wheel, which allows the user to easily control the volume.
