Capcom has announced the release date for Resident Evil 4 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game is being developed by Capcom’s Osaka-based R&D team to be a “modernized” version of its 2007 PS3 release with updated graphics.

Survival is just the beginning: at yesterday’s State of Play, Capcom revealed that on March 24, 2023, a remake of the original Resident Evil 4 would be released on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
The tale of Leon S. Kennedy is continued six years after his ordeal in Raccoon City in this film. He is hired as an agent who reports directly to the President of the United States, and he is sent to Europe to retrieve the president’s newly abducted daughter.
This remake will retain the core of the original while modernizing gameplay, reimagining the plot, and creating a more realistic, colorful environment using Capcom’s proprietary RE Engine. A number of team members from the Resident Evil 2 remake (which you can read our review of here) will work on this release, which will be of interest to fans of that game.
