New World is an upcoming action RPG being developed by Wicked Witch Software. It features the same over-the-top combat and humor that has become standard for Wicked Witch games. But it’s also a very different RPG, with a more realistic and active world, a stronger focus on crafting, and a huge emphasis on role-playing.
In the past few months, the Korean MMO New World has been slowly introducing new content to the test servers, and the latest is the arrival of a new monk archetype and a new type of equipment.
With less than three months to go until launch, Amazon is putting the finishing touches on the playtest with New World . The studio released the first part of the June Alpha update this week, and it contains a lot more than the 1,209 bug fixes mentioned in the patch notes above. Notably, the progression of characters has been changed again to prevent players from overplaying the content. For example, the company has increased the experience for discovering the story and exploring POIs, but decreased the experience for spying on invaders and faction missions, as well as PvP, and increased the experience required to level up one level after level 7 by 40%. Oh. The studio also claims to have added 50 new armor sets, reworked existing armor and weapons, slightly rebalanced the main weapons, and updated the main menu and character selection interface. This interface update also included improvements to the combat interface, default operating system, and player navigation. The most welcome change is the addition of much needed new options for character appearance: Many new appearance options are now available when you create a character, including new faces, hairstyles, facial hair, eye color, skin features, scars and tattoos.
