Valve’s digital distribution platform Steam just got a makeover. SteamPal, the service that allows users to trade in-game items and currency, has now been re-branded and re-launched as SteamTrade, which allows both trading and selling of items between Steam users. It’s an interesting move by Valve, especially since this is a service they already provide. Rockstar has just announced that it is opening an in-house label, called Rockstar Records, to release new music from artists signed to its publishing label. That’s too bad, because Valve is making SteamPal, according to a report from Ars Technica whose anonymous sources leaked it. It’s a versatile gaming controller and touchscreen PC that’s still in development, and it wouldn’t be wrong to think that it has some similarities to the popular Nintendo Switch. Cyberpunk 2077 : You may have forgotten that Cyberpunk 2077 was pulled from the PlayStation Store last fall, but that was it. And it’s still in the same state as it originally was. And apparently even CDPR has no idea when Sony will bring the game back to the platform. We’re still in talks, and with each patch the game gets better and progress is noticeable, but as we said, the decision is a Sony exclusive, so we’re waiting to hear if they’ve decided to bring the game back, CEO Adam Kiczynski told investors. CDPR: During the aforementioned shareholder conference, CDPR informed investors that four (!) class action lawsuits filed against the company in connection with the disastrous launch of Cyberpunk 2077 have been consolidated by the court into one case with the lead plaintiff, and that the case itself will be filed in June. In other words: The class action lawsuit continues. Ubisoft: Write that everything is under control, the situation is normal! Earlier this month, French publication Le Télégramme published a report on the sexual harassment scandal at Ubisoft in 2020, concluding that very little has been done since then to root out the corruption. But Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has now refuted the article, essentially saying the opposite.
