I’m a big fan of Gwent, one of the best card games out there. I’ve played it since I first heard of it. I’ve probably spent more time playing Gwent than any other game. I have the deck red, the deck blue, the deck green (the most powerful deck in the game), and any deck that supports the faction I support (I’m a Tordane). I play as Tordanes quite a bit. I’m also a big fan of this game.
In this post, I will detail what happened that lead to the sudden end of Gwent support for the current version of the game. First off, I’ll give a brief history of Gwent. It was released in April 2015 by Polish developer CD Projekt Red and first launched on PC. There were 13 different factions, each with 5 different classes, with each class having its own unique starts and strengths. The three game modes were standard matches, versus matches, and campaign matches. There were numerous game modes to play through, including ranked leagues, solo and co-op play, and challenges.
Hey guys, this is WeirdBob. We just released the latest version of Gwent: The Witcher Card Game Beta, and it’s already causing us problems. We made a change to the way in-game clan names are displayed without updating the game – and as a result, players are unable to access Gwent.
The error message This version of the game is no longer supported interrupts the connection to the Gwent game servers. As far as we know, it usually appears during maintenance periods.
This probably means that players experiencing this problem have a version of Gwent that hasn’t had time to update to the latest version on the live servers.
In most cases, the error Gwent This version of the game is no longer supported can only be fixed by checking or restoring the game files.
Gog Galaxy users can do this by right-clicking on the game in their library, hovering over Installation Manager, and left-clicking Check/Restore Files.
Steam users should right click on Gwent in their library, select Properties, go to the Local Files tab and select Check Game File Integrity.
In most cases, this will update the game itself, causing the error message This version of the game is no longer supported in Gwent. You can also try restarting the computer just to be sure.
Gwent is already out on PC and mobile devices.Gwent is an open-source game developed by CD Projekt RED and released in 2015. The card-based game (Free to play) is played on a device with one or more touch-screens and focuses on a competitive and dynamic game-play.
