Elden Ring’s 5 Best Early Game Bosses

Now, let’s get this tutorial started!

1. Farum Azula’s Beastman

Let’s begin our list of the top Elden Ring early game bosses and how to defeat them with one that’s a little simpler. The Beastman of Farum Azula is an optional boss located inside the Groveside Cave. This is a dungeon in Limegrave that is not far from the spawn spot.

When you get to the end of the dungeon, you’ll come face to face with a scary hairy monster that strikes quickly. You’ll be awarded with 1000 runes as well as the Flamedrake Tailsman if you can defeat him. This is an excellent talisman to have since it reduces the amount of damage you incur when you are struck by fire.

In terms of the combat, he shouldn’t be too tough to defeat. In my first few hours of playing the game, I was able to defeat him after just a few times. When he attacks, he usually strikes you twice. Wait till his second assault has finished before striking him for some easy damage.

He has a second attack in which he lets out a yell before swinging six times at you. You may hit him once he lowers his axe to the ground. Just remember these two things, and as long as you don’t play too aggressively, you should be able to knock him out for some quick early-game rewards.

Agheel, the Flying Dragon

Remember the Flamedrake Tailsman from the previous section? You’ll definitely need it for this one. Agheel, the Flying Dragon, is one of the first dragons you’ll meet in Elden Ring, and he makes an impression. You may find him near the Dragon-Burnt Ruins in Limgrave.

It’s a wonderful method to get 5000 runes by killing this monster. You’ll also get a Dragon Heart if you vanquish him. This may be utilized in the Church of Dragon Communion to get unique incantations. One of these incantations will allow you to spew fire on your foes!

You’ll need your beloved horse if you’re brave (or dumb) enough to take on the Flying Dragon Agheel. A flame strike and various leap attacks are available to the dragon. As a result, utilizing your horse to speed away swiftly and avoid taking damage is a must-have.

You may charge up to Agheel after one of his strikes is completed and swipe at his legs many times to cause damage. Just remember to keep your guard up! While you are near to him, he may raise his leg and strike at you!

Sentinel of the Trees

The Tree Sentinel is one of the first bosses you may meet when you initially begin your adventure. The Tree Sentinel is a gigantic, highly armored warrior dressed in bronze. As he rides about on his mount, he swings his big halberd around to hit foes as he passes by.

This boss may be found in the heart of Limgrave, where he will quietly patrol the region. The First Step is the closest source of grace to him. This implies that as soon as you venture out into the open world, you’re virtually certain to see him.

Not only will you get 3,200 runes for beating him, but you’ll also obtain access to his Golden Halberd. This is a great weapon for the early game since it enables you to strike enemies from a safe distance. This weapon not only does Physical Damage, but it also deals Holy Damage. This is ideal for dealing with zombie adversaries.

Getting on the back of your own ghostly horse will help you fight this monster. On horseback, you may run away or leap over his assaults. If you’re a melee user, you may utilize hit-and-run tactics to dash up to him and strike him while doing so. This enables you to deplete his health bar while reducing your own risk of being attacked.

You’ll be relieved to learn that we’ve previously written a guide that covers his assaults and how to effectively avoid them. You may see it for yourself by clicking here.

4. Leonine’s Misfortune

20220429181937_1-1024x683 Leonine Misbegotten BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment, FromSoftware Inc. through HGG / Koby Gibson Ross

Let’s look at the Leonine Misbegotten, one of my personal favorite boss battles in Elden Ring. Castle Morne is home to this formidable and fierce monster. This ruined fortress may be found on the Weeping Peninsula’s extreme southern tip. You’ll be sent here to deliver a letter from the NPC Irina, although you may go there even if you don’t want to start the task.

This monster is fantastic if you want to use enormous swords. You’ll get the Grafted Blade Greatsword if you beat him, which is an immensely strong sword that’s perfect for strength-based builds. Just keep in mind that you won’t be able to utilize this weapon correctly unless your strength attribute is at least 40.

When you get to the boss, you’ll see that he’s really swift and aggressive. His move set is difficult to avoid. This is why it’s a good idea to run straight after entering his arena and hide behind the tombstones there. When he hits you, the gravestones will block all of his attacks.

This means you can sit back and relax without having to worry about blocking or evading (unless he manages to slip past one, which can happen sometimes). Simply go in front of the tombs and attack him after he’s completed with his move set. Then hide under cover once again. You’ll be able to defeat him in no time!

Tibia Mariner, No. 5

This is a boss that I suggest to all players, regardless of build or style of play. Tibia Mariner may be found in Limgrave’s Summonwater Village. It’s not difficult to get to this site. All you have to do is go to the region’s northeastern corner.

One of his prizes is the key reason why you’ll want to face this monster. The Skeletal Militiaman Ashes will be dropped by him. You may use these spirit ashes to call the souls of two skeleton warriors to help you in battle. These skeletons are special in that after they lose their health, they stay on the ground for a few seconds before regenerating!

Of course, attackers may still strike them while they’re down and kill them forever. When battling bosses, though, it’s an extremely useful tool. These skeletons often self-resurrect, enabling them to remain and battle for far longer than some of the other spirit ashes found in Elden Ring.

He is, without a doubt, one of the simplest boss battles in the game. The slowness of his assaults and the ease with which he may be defeated are almost ridiculous. He rides his canoe up into the air during his battle before swinging it down at you to deliver damage. This is a simple dodge that can be done by any playstyle.

His army of skeletons is the only serious danger he poses, yet even these monsters are easy to dispatch. During this conflict, it’s ideal if you ride your horse. Dodging the armies of skeletons is a breeze when you’re riding your horse. When the skeletons start closing in on you, you may go up to the Mariner and strike him a few times before running back. He’ll be dead in no time if you just rinse and repeat!
