10/20 – Officially named the game Last Starfleet, the company Wicked Grin Games, and pick up corresponding websites
10/16 – Prototype 3, play testing reveals the need to simplify the wording and redraft the rules. Introduced the idea of “docking” and added the card nomenclature to the rules. Added art to planet cards and reduced the size of the prototype from 21 decks of cards to 9 decks. We also identified volunteers to help with video editing and music for Kickstarter campaign!
10/15 – Prototype 2 is completed. Reprinted the cards to be roughly playing card-sized, printed planets as circles and introduced orbital cycle chits to level game play time when running with more players.
10/14 – Met with the Chicago Game Design group where using Kickstarter. We’re planning to kick Last Starfleet after everything is in place for marketing and building momentum. Things are coming together nicely!
10/13 – Identified volunteer to work on art and graphic design for ship and planet artwork!
10/12 – Prototype 1 is completed, play testing commenced immediately afterwards. Not only does it play, but it is really engaging!
